The benefits of coffee grounds

You might assume that all the good stuff is pulled out during brewing, but you'd be wrong!  Used coffee grounds are full of antioxidants and have multiple benefits.

Here are a few of the benefits we'de like to highlight:

Corrects the PH level of your skin:

Coffee naturally contains polyphenols, which besides being a potent antioxidant, also maintains your skins PH levels. Having normal PH levels means your skin will secrete less sebum resulting in less pimples, acne and oil leaving your skin smooth & hydrated.

Reduces the appearance of cellulite:

Caffeine is a known diuretic and can reduce the appearance of cellulite by drawing the water out of the skin.  Caffeine stimulates dilation, while the scrubbing motion increases circulation, plumping up the skin and making cellulite look less obvious.

Body exfoliator:

Concentrate on elbows, knees, and cellulite-prone areas. Coffee grounds will effectively slough off dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin too!

Smoothes the skin:
Coffee grounds contain antioxidants, which can increase collagen production thereby smoothing out the skin.

Reduce the appearance of dark circles & puffy eyes:

Puffiness stretches the skin, loosening its elastic fibers. Once the puffiness is gone, it leaves the skin stretched out and wrinkled.

Caffeine can tighten skin, smooth puffiness, fight free radicals, and reduce dark eye circles, while the almond oil moisturises the eye area.

Helps with inflammation:

Caffeine promotes circulation which helps decrease inflammation.
